Dell UltraSharp U2410 - Worth of Try

he Dell UltraSharp U2410 is a 24 inch LCD monitor with an accurate, sharp panel and a wide range of calibration options. It's a good value option for image-intensive work like graphics editing and photography that rely on accurate colours. The price is low compared to the competition in its class.

The UltraSharp U2410 LCD monitor inherits some design cues from older Dell displays (the well-regarded Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP and the Dell UltraSharp 2405WFP), including a sharp rectangular design and thin, modern-looking bezel. Near the power button on the lower right corner are five touch-sensitive buttons to operate the on-screen display.

It has two DVI ports, D-SUB and DisplayPort – with cables in the box for all three – as well as HDMI, composite and component inputs. There's a 3.5mm output for passing through audio from an HDMI source, but there are no integrated speakers.

Add in the motion-sensing touch controls and Dell's simply superb menu system and you have a fantastic all-round monitor. It's expensive, but if you require colour accuracy at a less-than astronomical price, the UltraSharp U2410 is a good compromise.
